The Denver / Boulder area has had a frequent guest in the last couple years…HGTV (Home & Garden Television). Most recently, HGTV filmed in the Boulder area highlighting upgrades that owners have made on their homes in the successful hit “My House Is Worth What?” So, what is next? The top series “House Hunters” will be making its way to our lovely area.
Jeff Crase will continue in his role as the “Real Estate Expert” for House Hunters (Jeff Crase is an actual real estate agent with Real Estate Of The Rockies) throughout the year. “What we are looking for are some home buyers anywhere in the Denver / Boulder area that are looking to buy as soon as March or April of this year for our first filming. After that HGTV will be open to future shows throughout the year. Buyers need to be prequalified to buy a home (price range is open), energetic & fun, and comfortable being on national television”,says Jeff. In the past, many people have enjoyed being part of these shows, and what a wonderful way to show off your own home, or allow America to tag along with you while you are buying a home.
The Denver / Boulder market has consistently been ranked as one of the top areas to buy a home. “Our area has been in a tough market for a lot longer than most of the country. Where we tend to enter into a tough market first, we also will be one of the first markets to emerge for these tough times”,Jeff explains. An indicator of this would be the fact that inventory is currently down around 20% in the metro area. Jeff also adds, “make no mistake, once these foreclosures are flushed out of the system…your going to start to see a drastic change in the values of homes. I feel that we will start to see signs of this in 2009. I also feel that buyers are going to be more aware of the fact that you can get a home for much less right now than we have seen in a long time, and mortgage rates are also at an incredible rate! Add these two facts together and you have the mixings of a perfect time to buy a home!”
