Come join Toastmasters International for companionship, fun and improved communication skills! We have retired people, entrepreneurs, employees and management types, homemakers. lawyers, doctors, plumbers, salespeople. students (must be 18) and job-seekers. Toastmasters is not a business organization, but rather a civic group of people who come together to practice and learn. We donapostrophet have to come up with ideas off the tops of our heads; there are many different types of structured speeches, and we have books and mentors to help us with them, as well as other Club members. We all help each other with training.
There are breakfast Clubs, lunchtime Clubs, afternoon and evening Clubs. even some that meet on the weekend. Besides learning to be a Competent Communicator, there are also Leadership development programs.
Meetings are kept lively and fun, so members will want to keep coming back! Each member works at his or her own pace, and there is no pressure. Visits are free and membership, once you decide to join us, is very low-cost.
Get out of your rut! Come to our Westminster Communicators meeting, held at Avaya (1300 W 120th Avenue in Westminster) every Wednesday from 12 to 1:15pm. This Club is open to the public, and there are dozens of other Clubs in the area if this one does not fit your needs.
