Girl Scouts of Colorado, Denver Service Center, is proud to announce that Barbara J. Kelley, 2008 Woman of Distinction honoree and a partner at the law firm of Kamlet, Shepherd and Reichert, LLP and Sharon H. Linhart, 2004 Woman of Distinction honoree and Managing Partner, Linhart Public Relations are the co-chairs for this year’s 13th annual Women of Distinction event in Denver to be held on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at the Seawell Ballroom. As co-chairs, these women will help plan the festivities for this annual Girl Scout fundraising program that recognizes of outstanding women in the business and philanthropic communities.
Girl Scouts of Colorado inaugurated the Women of Distinction program in 1997 to coalesce outstanding women dedicated to helping Girl Scouts build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. To date 347 women have been named to this esteemed honor. The Women of Distinction is widely regarded as the one of Denver’s premier philanthropic programs, bringing together a group of women who are dedicated to raising funds to support programs for at-risk girls who desperately need the positive influence of Girl Scouts. To date, more than $2 million has been raised.
