BPA's Local Woman of the Year
unknown

Deiadra Dissen Swartz has been selected 2003 local WOMAN OF THE YEAR by the Colorado Federation of Business and Professional Women. This award is given annually to an individual who has achieved success in business or profession, made significant contributions in service of others, and who exemplifies a positive role model for young women.

Swartz is a business appraiser, ###recovering### attorney, real estate broker and professional business intermediary. Since 1990, she has been representing Colorado businesses and the people who own them. She owns and manages Left Brain Right Brain, offering clients expertise in valuations, mergers, acquisitions, consolidations and exit strategies for small privately held companies (those defined with revenues of $20 million or less). She speaks regularly on issues important to business owners and conducts seminars on valuations, mergers and acquisitions. In addition to serving the M&A community, Swartz serves as a member of the Board of Directors for a local Water District, is a Director for several non-profit corporations, and further serves her community by volunteer work through a number of civic, scholarship and business organizations.

Business and Professional Women USA, founded in 1919, promotes equity for all working women through advocacy, education and information. BPW boasts membership of 30,000 individuals in more than 1,600 chapters representing every congressional district in the country, and 580 members in 19 local chapters throughout Colorado. The Celebration of Women awards banquet in Denver commemorated the 75th Anniversary of National Business Women###s Week (October 19-25, 2003).
