Get Fit by Running in the Colorado Relay
Colorado Relay

The Colorado Relay is a 24-hour+ 170-mile team relay race, and is Coloradoapostrophes Premier Team Relay designed for athletes of all abilities. The 2008 Colorado Relay will be held on September 12-13, 2008. 151 teams signed up for the 2007 event so sign up early.

In this Relay event, teams of 10 runners alternate running legs of the race course, with each runner completing one leg that averages 4-5 miles each then handing off to the next runner who takes off and runs the next leg and so forth. Each runner completes 3 legs over about 24 hours. The team together completes 170 miles.

The course takes athletes of all abilities, across several mountain passes in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, from Idaho Springs to Glenwood Springs, CO. Most teams have 10 runners, but teams can also be made up of 5 members up to 12 members. In 2008 the Colorado Relay announces the new CENTURY race, 100 miles from the start line to the finish line.
