Summer is here and in full swing in Sunny Orlando Florida. What a great time to travel, the kids are out of school, the weather is beautiful and every Mom deserves a vacation.

Free Things to do in Orlando!!!

1.Go Hiking! The Ocala National Forest wants you to experience Nature while visiting Orlando. There is no Charge to hike & explore the hardwood forests, swamps & natural springs Florida has to offer.

2.Celebration is Disney’s Town and is pretty much the perfect town. It does not cost a thing to stroll thru the neighborhoods and admire the beautiful homes, visit down town Celebration, let the kids play in the fountain while you window shop.

3.Lake Eola Park is a beautiful 43 Acre Park located in the Downtown area of Orlando with spectacular views of the City. Walk the pathway, feed the swans, take a paddle boat ride or play in the playground.

4.Harry P. Leu Gardens View the beautiful gardens free of charge on Monday mornings from 9am until 12pm. Stroll through the beautiful gardens to get your day off to a relaxing start

5.The Grand Bohemian Gallery located in the Beautiful Grand Bohemian Hotel offers free admission to the Art Gallery, even if you are not able to splurge on a room there.

6.Big Tree Park is home of “the Senatorapostrophe a 118 ft. tall, 3,500 year old Bald Cypress tree. Bring lunch and have a picnic in the park.

7.Disney’s Boardwalk is a great re-creation of a 1930’s style Atlantic Coastal Village. You can always find musicians, magicians & performers while strolling the boardwalk for free.

8.The Walt Disney Fireworks can be seen from other areas of Orlando, check out the Downtown Disney Market Place for an array of boutiques and eateries for every budget, watch glassblowers, visit the Lego Imagination Center & compete in the “beat-the-clock building contest , see a 12 ft. T.rex & a 30-ft. Sea Serpent both made out of thousands of Lego’s. Admission to Downtown Disney is Free

9.Old Town offers free live entertainment nightly, A Vintage Car show every Saturday night & a Motorcyclists rally every Thursday night. There are amusement rides that require a small fee but admission to Old Town is Free

10.The Bradlee-McIntyre House was build circa 1885 for Boston architect Nathaniel Jeremiah Bradlee , the Bradlee-McIntyre House is the only surviving Queen Anne-style cottage in Orange & Seminole counties, You can visit the House in the Longwood Historical Park

11.Holocaust Memorial Resource & Education Center of Central Florida is just north of Orlando and offers free admission. Detailed life before the Holocaust, all the way to liberations, displays include artifacts & local survivor testimonies.

12.Orlando Jai-Alai the world’s fastest sport offers free admission on Thursdays for Women. This sport, of Spanish Basque origin has players hurling a rock-hard ball back and forth at speeds up to 150 miles per hour.

13.Black Hammock Adventures offers an afternoon of bird exhibits & alligator watching. The Black Hammocks 12 ft., 650 pound gator “Hammyapostrophe can been seen being feed by the trainers. Live Music every Friday & Saturday night can be listened to while enjoying the views of Lake Jessup.

14.March of the Peabody Ducks! Visit the Peabody Ducks while making their way daily to the tunes of John Philip Sousa along a red carpet to the Royal Duck Fountain at 5pm daily Sometimes kids can be Honorary Duck Master for one of the shows. When you book your trip to Orlando call Duck Master David Robinson at the Peabody to nominate your child, being an Honorary Duck Master.

15.Knightly Spirits offers free beer every other Thursday from 6pm to 9pm. With over 700 beers at the free beer tasting.

16.Howl at the Moon a dueling piano sing along bar and hot spot. Book a Happy Hour Party in advance which gets you free admission before 11pm, complimentary buffet from 6pm – 8pm your first drink is free and until 8pm select drinks are half off

17.Wekiwa Springs state Park offers free admission in September with a library card or book donation. Spend the day hiking through the Nature Trails, fishing, swimming or visiting the nature museum.

18.Winter Park offers many playgrounds for the kids! Winter park definitely has something for everyone, window shop, catch a game of volleyball or visit the Farmers Market any Saturday Morning. Visit on the second Thursday of each month for a free movie. Popcorn Flicks showcased classic films in the Winter Park’s Central Park, bring a blanket & some movie munchies and enjoy!

19.Legend of Spook Hill in Lake Wales, visit the spot where you should stop your car, put it in neutral and watch as your car rolls uphill.

20.The Zora Neale Hurston National Museum of Fine Arts celebrates the Floridian best known for her novel “Their Eyes Were Watching God. Her Hometown of Eatonville, just west of Winter Park is a short drive from Orlando. The museum is dedicated to the material culture of people of African descent.

21.Orlando Public Library’s Children’s Library offers special readings, arts & crafts, board games and musical events. The Third Thursday of the Month is Family Movie Night.

22.Catch the Electrical Water pageant on the seven Seas Lagoon at Walt Disney. The Show Starts at 9pm near The Polynesian Resort and ends near the Contemporary Resort

23.Orlando Brewing Company, Florida’s only certified organic brewery offering free daily tours at 4pm and 6pm and offers free live entertainment on the weekends

24.Pointe Orlando offers an array of shops, restaurants & a movie theater, stroll Pointe Orlando for free

25.Visit the Downtown City Arts factory offering 5 art galleries, Hand blown glass by Charles Keila; music and art fusion by Jim Faherty and Gene Zimmerman and the Zulu Exclusive Gallery offering 100 years of African Sculptures.
